Privatisation Of PHCN A Fraud, Electricity Workers Tell Buhari by Nobody: 7:20am On May 10, 2015 |
In apparent response to the statement made by the out-going minister of power, Professor Chinedu Nebo, on the need for the in-coming administration not to tamper with the privatization of the power sector, electricity workers in the country have demanded a thorough review of the privatization of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, alle-ging that the privatization project was fraught with irregularities.www.vanguardngr.com/2015/05/privatisation-of-phcn-a-fraudelectricity-workers-tell-buhari/ 12 Likes 1 Share |

Of course the probe will certainly happen.. It's like an old tenant telling a new tenant not to tamper with the contract he signed with the bad plumber who used to offer him Inferior plumbing services 46 Likes |

#200b to a private sector? Bunch of thieves. This same sector has ballooned the bill by almost 50% and there output has been getting worse. Smh. The rot in power sector could be unimaginable when looked into. There is no justification for the epileptic power supply after so much pumped cluelessly into that sector, China spent less than half of what Naija has spent so far to establish a 22000MW at a go. 29 Likes 2 Shares |

When APC said during their campaigns that they are okay with privatization of the DISCOS and will privatize the GENCO a union is here making noise. The fact is the union wanted govt to own PHCN so that they can continue siphoning from govt budget 32 Likes 3 Shares |

Bart NnAji was actually doing his best when he was minister, but he stopped dancing to the tunes of oga Jona. This out going minister, I don't think he knows what he has done, he should just subtract 4000 - 2500 it will give 1500mw of power.. See how much he lost. We are suppose to be adding up and retrogressing. I am expecting much from our elected president likewise the whole country, if he can just solve power problem, gbamm... The rest sector will just fall in place like a jigsaw.... Good morning.... "Yawns" 12 Likes 1 Share |

The privitisation is a process that will start yielding fruits in the long run. PHCN staff should keep quiet because they ran PHCN down with their corruption 13 Likes 3 Shares |

What's Chinedu Nebo scared of? They only demanded for a thorough review of the whole privatisation. If nothing illegal is done he has nothing to fail but if there is illegality, I am afraid, jail terms await whoever is involved. 5 Likes 1 Share |

"One Nigeria" as a country is big fat fraud, so why should you expect other things enmeshed in it not to be fraud? Our leaders in this country are big fat fraud, so why should you expect any decision from them not to be fraud? I'm not surprised, a goat can't beget a lion. |

If anyone has to cry, surely not ex-staff because they ran the company to the ground with lackadaisical attitude and were paid off. The power sector needs reform. And the reform starts from cleaning away the cows on top that are obsolete hardware and the ex-staff keeping quiet. 7 Likes |
