The picture is lovely and the fact that he's not wearing a northern attire makes it even more endearing. It says he is not president of one region but president of all. However, i think the title you've given him should be toned down a little. The president-elect is a retired General hence "Rtd" should always follow his name whenever he's being addressed by his military title, this is missing in the portrait. Secondly, President-Elect Buhari would, in about 2 weeks, become the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces i.e. the highest military title in Nigeria. Why settle for a less glorious title of retired General? In conclusion, because Mr Buhari is coming to power this time around by democratic means, it may sound out of tone or even be deemed politically incorrect to keep addressing him as General Mohamed Buhari Rtd. How does President Mohamed Buhari sound? Much better, I guess. |
