Unfortunately, some African mothers still force feed their children this way. This practice - I think - needs to be phased out.

Mehn, this is torture of the highest order, that woman leg needs to broken, her hand needs to be flogged 34 strokes of the cain, her teeth needs to be plucked out of her mouth, for torturing that small girl, infact they should jail that woman for 500 years with hard labour, just rice no chicken, but they can give her ice cream.

It's risky. When an inexperienced mon does it, the child can choke to death. Some children will just not eat, all they want is breast, with this, the mother is sure that there is some food in baby's stomach, it may look like torture, but it's done out of love to keep baby alive.
