If Kashamu or whatever his name is happens to be an American, will his country agree to extradite him especially to Nigeria as it stands now.

In my own opinion, ENOUGH of this embarrassment on this young man.

I don't support impunity but it's time we need to be wholly an independent and a proud country.

Why haven't we requested for the culprits in the ongoing Halliburton saga?

Must we always be slaves to the West even when they don't have a single regard for us?

LEAVE KASHAMU alone!!! undecided

US will extradite a criminal to face justice if no foul play is suspected and If they trust your justice system.
Vice versa. Do we think there's foul play? No. Do we trust US justice system. Yes.
So extradite the motherfucker.

Oga stop being overly emotional and acting like you are more patriotic than anyone else. Does our justice system live up to its name? The simple answer is NO. How else do you explain someone being sentenced to 20years and above with hard labour for stealing a laptop while someone who stole 700billion is being given two years with an option of 700,000 fine?? What about the most recent case that had tongues wagging?? Had Ibori been in Nigeria, would he be in jail?? What about instances where courts grant perpetual injunction against prosecution or investigation of an accused?? How do you explain such perversion??

Bone all that matter. This isn't about white supremacy or whatever it is Malcolm have to say: Our criminal justice system is criminal!

SIMPLE!

Whether extraditing the arssehole is unpatriotic or whatever you want to call it, I think getting rid of criminals like KASHAMU from our political space is of greater importance. Nigeria will have one less sophisticated criminal to deal with.

Our justice system is messed up, the judge may have to adjourn because no petrol to put in his car and no diesel to put in the generator for the court building.

Which American justice system do you trust? The same Americans that were hiding key evidence when the extradition case was being heard in UK. The UK despite their closeness to USA refused to hand over Kashamu to them so, I wonder why we want to throw away our own citizen to a country where it is very obvious he will never get a fair trial. This whole Kashamu thing is a big shame on Nigeria.

I agree that they should extradite him. Criminals should be made to face the law. Crime should not be condone. And Nigeria justice system is messed up to begin with.

However, I disagree with what you said about US extraditing it's citizen.
US does not extradite its citizen. They are quite bias about it, even if they sign the "extradition treaty" with countries. They always claim their justice sysytem is the best, and always flaw any other country's justice system. All this boils down to the fact that they are over-protective of their citizens. Countries know them for these act.

For me extraditing kashamu is a big NO since a court in the UK has heard the case and done justice.

Those making noise that he must be deported may also be in that condition tomorrow .

Nigeria is an independent country, no one should order or bully us

If the Halliburton saga went under the carpet blame your government not America ,did your govt request for the culprits ? Kashamus case if you ever followed it up before bringing sentiments into it dates back as 1998 and here they are still on his case never stopped to seek his extradition and his need to face a court. Man you should encourage your judicial system to emulate that of America rather be sentimental about issues. Even the South Africans don't take Nigeria serious because Nigeria isn't serious .

Pls be sure of what you say the court in the UK only presided over his extradition issue and that was over 10 years ago. They refused America extradition and deported him to Nigeria

Uncle Tom slave. The US justice system openly discriminates against people who look like YOU. The various cases run into thousands of pages long. Even now as we speak there is ANOTHER demonstration there over the acquittal of some policemen who shot dead two unarmed blacks on the grounds that they mistook their revving car engine for gunfire. Dummy dum dum! Dumb Africans always worshiping the white man and refusing to engage their docile brains even when faced with facts.

Op you're not just being reasonable here. Do you expect Kashamu to be left to join the Red chamber of the NASS even with the case of forgery & other offences in his hands. If he's so sure that he's not the Buruji in question, then he shouldn't be afraid of going to court in the US,he shouldn't as well be threatening that he'd commit suicide. Stop feeling sympathetic for him. Afterall he has enjoyed immunity so well enough under the clueless one.

The Kashamu guy is NOT guaranteed a fair trial under the racist and corrupt US justice system. No African govt worth its salt would ever extradite its citizens to the US for trial until that country overhauls its institutionally racist, corrupt system, and flushes out its hordes of racist and corrupt judges and policemen.

^^^If Farouk Lawan can make laws for us then why not? If a confirmed peodophile can sit in the senate chambers and make laws for us then why not? Heck.....if a war criminal can become Head of State and to this day is eulogised and held up as the epitome of good conduct, then why not!?

Our problem in this country is hypocrisy! We apply justice selectively, and prefer to tell only half the story.....selecting only the bits that serve our purpose at any moment in time!

Kashamu should not be extradited to US for any reason whatsoever. Nigeria should learn to stand and walk proud as a country in its own right.

By the way, Buhari seems to be a 'house negro' to the west. With the way he keeps visiting UK constantly and also some other foreign countries. It looks like the West would be indirectly controlling Nigeria for the next 4 years, a leisure Jonathan hardly gave them.

You just nailed it bro. Hypocrisy is killing us Nigerians. I even hear someone saying we need the leadership of an American President in Nigeria. What a "clownish" thinking.

I lived in Nigeria and grew into adulthood before migrating to the States and I can authoritatively tell you that the crimes, corruption and injustice in Nigeria is a child's play when compared to the ones in America.

When oyibo outsmarts an African, it's tagged "a world peace project" but when the table turns around, they tag it crime. It's a pity undecided

The US law system isn't equally perfect. I'm in the US. Justice is served differently and selectively to whites than it is done to blacks. Whites often receive pardons, 'minor slap on the back of the wrists', or much less jail time than blacks for the very same crimes both groups commit. In fact, the more darker skinned you are, the more likely you are to receive longer jail terms. When it comes to blacks, the laws are implemented fully without any reservation and emotion. Whites are the 'angels', incapable of committing crimes, blacks are the devils incarnate on earth, perpetuating crimes.

One example recently is the AMTRAK train incident that happened in Philadelphia where the train driver, an engineer, was overspeeding and when he got to a curve he was supposed to slow down he kept speeding and the train flew off tangent from the tracks killing up to 8 people. All that time CNN was carrying the news at first the race of the driver was initially not mentioned and I kept hoping the driver isn't black because I know the extent of justice that would be given if the driver were black. Later the picture and name of the train driver was revealed - white. As soon as the driver was revealed to be white white, the media and also his boss, who is white, rallied around him, trying to cover him up, rather blaming the government for a lack of quick incident response that should have 'detected' his speed early enough to 'warn' him. Imagine such incomprehensible cover up. What possible reason will you give for over speeding way beyond the maximum allowed limit for train driving. The driver is simply incompetent and should be held liable for his action, even killing 8 people. Watch how his trial case would go. He would be acquitted of murder and overspeeding. Had the driver been black, he would be smacked with incompetence immediately, and justice served to him in full measure.

The US justice system is racially flawed.
