Okay, I seem to get what you saying now. First, I need to tell you that I do not know why Islam section was created to begin with. When I joined NL, I was only active on "properties section" up to late 2013. I barely come to religion area. However, I was active on islam section just early last year. Believe it or not, i could sense the reason Islam section was created. And I was only active in Christian section just around this Janiuary (and that was because of ifean).

If you were around mid-last year, I wish you visited "side islamic talks" a thread created by mac. Your fellow christians were so bad. Not only did they insult our prophet, they insulted our prophet Jesus and our Ulama. They also posted inappropriate pictures. Mac didn't ban them but removed those pix. Those pictures were porn*gra* posted by both atheists and Christians. They used to freely comment there despite "declaration of faith".

You should be objective by looking beyond "religious brethren". Also, verses of Qur'an that they do not understand, despite explaining those verses to them, they still use it to propagate their sinister agenda. This is why some muslims reciprocate their behavior sometimes.

And in most cases, when some muslims said some things that are inappropriate in response to Atheists or Christians barbaric attitudes, we muslims usually come together to denounce him/her. I understand we can be emotional sometimes. But we have obligatory duties to comport ourselves according to Quran and the Sunna of Muhammad(saw). This is because Quran says (3:110 Translation Of The Meaning)

"You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture i:e Jews and Christians had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient."

This verse of the Quran sums it all ^

The reason they behave like that or anyhow is because they have abandoned their religious principles. They feel someone died for their sins so they have green light to do as they wish. #justsaying

Someone gave me an answer I agree with for the first time on this forum:

Islam has plenty of fanatics who have been constantly threatening fellow Nairalanders, mods and Seun himself with violence and death due to their inability to cope with rational discourse. The Islam section was created to[b] quarantine those fanatics[/b] and keep them isolated f[b]rom the majority of sane people[/b] who just want to talk about religion without having to deal with death threats.
The general religion section is open to everybody, Muslims included, its not just for Christians alone. This is a major reason it is so vibrant be cause everybody brings their own point of view, falsehood and irrationality gets challenged and everybody gets to learn something by reading it.
Compare that to the Islam section which is a boring echo chamber rehashing the same tired nonsense over [/b]and over like a[b] North Korean news program. The place is a empty wasteland and the only time anything exciting happens there is when a non-Muslim sneaks in to challenge them. Creating a christian section is a bad idea because it is likely to meet the same fate and since Christians are far far less likely to kill Seun and the mods, its really not necessary.
The reason they want their own section is because they are tired of being destroyed by secular logic and they want to be able to stifle discussion and post, what is essentially, spam unopposed. This directly against the whole essence of a discussion forum and there is no reason why anybody should humor them. The Muslims get a section because the harbour plenty of violent fanatics and Seun doesn't want to die. Whenever Christians start killing people, maybe then they can get a section.

That said, it is important to note that some topics created in the general religion section is moved to the Islamic section even tho it was created by a nonmuslim who can't comment afterwards after it has been moved to the wasteland Islamic section... This has to stop.

That does not make any sense. Atheists bash christians too but do we have a christian section? There is something deeper in the issue surrounding the creation of the Islam section.



That aside, I do not care for the Islam section. If muslims feel good in the section, good for them. I prefer to learn from both believers and unbelievers.
