I have asked before but got no answer. I am asking again hoping that a politically oriented nairalander provide a tentative answer.

.............................................
Amaechi will be 50 on May 27, 2015 —( 2 days to the end of his tenure as governor; having being in powerful public positions for 16 unbroken years; being 34 when he became the Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, a position he held for eight years before being made the governor of the state by the judges of the Supreme Court) —instead of being happy, he is destroying his achievements in Rivers by his juvenile actions.

...........................................
What is the wisdom of conducting local government elections on May 23 – just six days to the handover date of May 29? What does Amaechi want to achieve by hastily conducting these elections and swearing in the “selected” ones before departing on May 29, when he has not done same in the last four years? Just the same way, I see no plausible rationale in President Goodluck Jonathan’s recent rash of appointments. (-Saka Momodu)
..........................................
What is his gain in trying to make the house of change a broken home? (“Amaechi has a strong personality but the party will think of what is best for him, but SGF is a no no. That office needs a calm personalty who will be there to ensure the President succeeds, not one who will fight with even party men like he’s been doing with Tinubu lately”.) -APC Chieftains @ http://www.naij.com/425057-sgf-apc-chieftains-dumps-amaechi-for-onu.html

Please, What does Gov. Rotimi Amaechi really want to achieve with these undemocratic display?,

To make Rivers ungovernable for Wike. I saw him come from UK this morning on board British airways and I wonder how could a governor travel out of a state when an election he midwifed is taken place. That means he was not even in the state when the 'election' was taking place. He ran away hoping the state would burn. Fortunately the so called election was peaceful. Amaechi is playing God in Rivers state. Those the gods want to destroy they first make mad.

Mr man, ur questions are coming rather too late. u should have asked this questions first to Peter Obi, ur former Governor and Anambra people first. When did Peter Obi conduct local govt election in his entire 8 years in office? The local govt election in Rivers state was conducted within the stipulation of the law. The PDP in Rivers state were shouting for nothing because Gesila Khan is not the one in charge of the local election so they became afraid of coming out to contest. However, the election has come and gone. Winners Will be sworn in 26th, May 2015. In fact, am using this opportunity to invite u to come and be part of the swearing in Rivers state. Thank u.
