Hello Frazeez, every time I read your posts, I seriously withhold myself from commenting. Not to insult you but I feel you a big baby, spolit, and very very impatient! What is sad news for you? That your documents are being subjected to further checks? Is that a visa denial No need of coming here and looking for sympathy and to whip up sentiments! What if I told you that my 189 has been dragging for 9 months now? Maybe if you were the one, you would have since been admitted for high BP? Man up or Woman up!! Going to Australia is not your ultimate destiny in life! Calm down and don't come crying here everyday!
If that visa is to come out tommorow, will you ignore it? All I will say is be patient, no need to throw money around, see this one through and if need be you will deferr the admission. US student visas are no less stressful or quicker to secure. I hope you don't see this as an insult. God bless you.
Franzeez:
Hello guys,

Sad news for me,

I finally got a response from the case officer saying she has received the the documents and that my application is undergoing further checks and that she cannot give a timeline to this but they hope to get it sorted out soon.

Dear friends with that mail I finally give up, I have also an offer in the California State University so I guess that will be it. I can't be wanting to spend my money to go to school and still bullied around for no just reason. Who knows how long useless checks will take and have me waste my time for nothing.

Thanks Nairalanders for all, I won't withdraw my application but rather I will just forget it as if no application was ever made.

Hey guys.. its officially a week in Perth. What's up? Hope no worries with everyone down here.

Actually... I didn't get to comment on this trend all thru my visa application time and when I finally got the visa.. I was seriously working on my faith and positivity. Thank God it all worked out. I am not here to give a sermon. I am here for a forward living which involves getting information.

I am studying Mgt Information Systems M.Sc at Edith Cowan. Already got a TFN and d banks settled. But oh wow accomodation is expensive. Literally like 6k/day in the ECU village here.. well it looks like I am on banana island. If there is anyone that needs heads up. . Hey don't hesitate I am always here.

I need to know what u need to get a job i mean from anyone that's been in australia for like a while now.. hey guys.. no worries. Hit me up.

There would be racism anywhere you have different races mixing together. So racism is not peculiar to Australia alone. There are ignorant people everywhere in the world from Russia to china to India to England, and to the USA.

I live in Canada, and still get that occasional stare (like what is he doing here) when I visit or travel through small towns in Canada.
A Canadian based Nigerian doctor friend of mine also told me about a racist encounter he had with a patient some weeks ago, but does that stop him from being at the top of his career?

Even people sometimes offer jobs in Nigeria based on tribe, abi I lie?

So do not let such things deter you. In those countries, you will still find highly successful Nigerians making money legally, and living a good life.

Is the country you currently reside free from racism?

So much for the racism we so detest; here in Nigeria, don't we experience a whole lot more than that?
Nepotism, tribalism, favoritism- you name it!

To get a contract, you have to know somebody.
To get government approvals, you have to know somebody.
To get a job, you almost have to know somebody.
In some places, to even get a promotion, you have to know somebody. It goes on and on.

Not forgetting the show of might we experience on the roads on a daily.
Every nutter in a govt, hilux or black tinted vehicle- with or without sirens, believes you have to yield right of way to them. Isn't that some form of discrimination?! Maybe 'militar-ism', no?!

So long as the racist stares have no violence attached, maybe it's much tolerable to all the '-'isms' encountered here.

Just don't travel to "hustle"- seems the days of winning with that card are long gone.
