Governor-elect of Plateau state, Simon Lalong, Tuesday said he won’t be moving into the State’s government house. Explaining why he won’t be moving in, the governor elect said that other than the place being uncompleted, he does not need such luxury to serve the people. http://www.nigerianmonitor.com/2015/05/27/plateau-governor-elect-refuses-to-move-into-n15b-government-house/ 46 Likes 2 Shares

lalasticlala: His words in part: “I am not going to occupy an uncompleted building as a government house. In any case, I don’t need such a house to work for the people of Plateau State. In serving Plateau people, I don’t need a luxury office. I’d rather prefer people of the state live in luxury homes with all social services provided. So, I don’t think a new government house is a priority of Plateau people. I don’t need such an office to serve my people.” why is this man contradicting himself? He cant live in an uncompleted building and again he does not want such luxury. Which one are we to take 235 Likes 9 Shares |

It is not by talk but by action. That is how almost you guys started but at the end it's another story. Besides we Nigerians are not longer moved by words. Can somebody tell them we need action. 137 Likes 2 Shares |

This man was the Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly during the administration of Joshua Dariye. Who is deceiving who? Is he not the same person that refused to probe Gov Joshua Dariye even when the then AGF wrote him detailing corruption allegation against Dariye? Please see his letter to the AGF... You can't live there because it is uncompleted. Only a homeless person stays in an uncompleted building. 8 Likes |

“I was told that new government house has cost over N15 billion and it is still uncompleted. I can’t live in such an office when Plateau people have no water to drink, children are not going to school, civil servants are not paid, there is no medical care in rural areas and most villages have no roads" Talk is cheap Hope he is not planning on wasting taxpayers money on building another edifice 4 himself. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

APC should stop deceiving people. They should be concerned with the task ahead of them. This same APC Governor-elect is facing Money laundering charges hanging on his neck... He was first arrested in 2006 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/5285544.stm The case is not over yet http://www.tootalking.com/news/lalong-arrested/ 28 Likes 1 Share |

If all our leaders can be sincere and work for d interest of d pple, and not dia selfish interest. Nigeria will be better. For an out going governor who can't pay salary to be investing on such a vuglar project. "don’t need such a house to work for the people of Plateau State. In serving Plateau people, I don’t need a luxury office. I’d rather prefer people of the state live in luxury homes with all social services provided. So, I don’t think a new government house is a priority of Plateau people. I don’t need such an office to serve my people.” Please don't mind any hypocrite who cried that its all deceits,...when we see a deviation from normal corruption based norm we should aprreciate it, either we are seeking for PROTECTION or we are doing POST AND GET PAID 11 Likes |

In as much as he wants to sound populist he should reconsider his stance. The fact is that the government has already spent a whooping 15 billion naira on the uncompleted building. The question now is; what will happen to the building? Is he going to allow a multi billion naira edifice go to ruin? How does that help him or the people he is striving so hard to please? Wisdom is profitable to direct..... 10 Likes |
