People usually say every disappointment is a blessing, but some people never really believe it. Yar Adua's death was a big loss
to the North and Nigeria as a whole. But it has turned a blessing for General Muhammadu Buhari. If Yar Adua did not die, he would have wanted to spend eight years in power and after his tenure, power would shift to the South again. With that GMB would not have had any opportunity to contest again, except he can wait till 2023 by which he would have been too old to contest again.
This is a big lesson to all. Every disappointment that you experience will surely turn out to be a blessing.

What I meant was that Yar Adua would have stayed till 2015 while another President from the South will also spend eight years (2023) before power goes back to the North and when Buhari will have the chance to contest again.

Op, how do you know things would have played out like you think? Do you think Yar Adua would have had automatic 2nd term as president if he had failed to perform? GEJ is an example.
