finally it is here. The much publicized and talked about Biafra 48 aniversary is here and with this celebration sure to be in the news, one might wonder what this means to the unity of nigeria. Its a known fact that the Biafra dream has been kept alive by forces even outside this nation, its also known that biafra is now getting international attention reportedly the UN and countries like SWEDEN SPAIN RUSSIA and even ISRAEL and CHINA. Now, whatever happens today will mean alot to the world because they are watching how nigeria's new government will react. Needless to say that should biafra be left alone by the new administration, they will get stronger and bolder, should they be disturbed, the UN will see even more reasons to grant them the right to self determination which again means the spliting of nigeria. Either ways, one thing is sure, biafra seems to have the upper hand! Well, lets watch and see how today's events will unfold and impact nigeria's unity as a country and show the new administration's capability in handling sensitive situations. To me, this is the first real test of the new administration even as nigeria's unity hangs on the balance.... Xme0x2

The only close to possible solution to keep Nigeria one is to have true federalism otherwise Nigeria can not remain any longer.

Tell your people

Are we holding your hands?

What's stopping Biafrans from declaring Biafra today?

Fear of Yorubas or fear of not wanting to leave Nigeria?

Don't make a mistake by stepping into Yorubaland this time.

If Ijawland decides to stay, no one will stop Biafra. But your people don't want to leave Nigeria.

No need, we have better: occupation

A brainy one doesn't need arms to dominate

Stop crying
We are now law makers in Lagos and your oba is going mad because of us

How are you dominating?

By answering to Yoruba leaders or by investing your money in another man's land, while your land rots away?

You will have your own separate country (Hausas, Yorubas and others inclusive) but not by your struggles.
I bet, the SW or a part of the North is sure to leave this union first before having Biafra. In the meantime, enjoy the CHANGE; enjoy one Nigeria.

Console yourself, but not for too long.

SW is not eager to leave Nigeria. Remove Lagos and watch the SW crumble.

Your lazy assets cannot get your acts rights without Niger Delta oil.

Now go hang yourself.

Self determination is not meant for the UN to grant.
It is the right of every indigenous people.

Buhari might respond with brutality, but that will only work out for our good.

Seun runs a business that could be jeopardized as a result of the HATE Speech you and your co-travelers ate promoting via his medium.

IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE SSS' ATTENTION WILL BE DRAWN TO NAIRALAND AS IT IS FAST BECOMING A RECRUITMENT TOOL IN THE HANDS OF SEPARATISTS AND ANARCHISTS A SECURITY THREAT OWING TO THE WAY IT IS BEING USED TO PROPAGATE HATE AND PROMOTE THE DISUNITY OF NIGERIA.

You don't expect any serious government to overlook that now, do you?

Even FREE speech has its limitations - and that occurs the moment it crosses the line by becoming HATE speech. It's that way even in the U.S, the bastion of democracy and free speech.

If you so much desire to spread your hate then OPEN your own forum and drive traffic to it!

Until then, Seun has the right to exercise his discretion to moderate his own forum in accordance with his interpretation of best practices and in line with his business interests.

Remove Lagos and merge it with Biafra abi? Wake up! South Western Region will do better without Oil, needless to say there is also oil in the region with large deposit of different minerals.
SW region will stand out in the event of a break up.
Spirit of Nigeria will still bedevil the likes of Biafra.

Oh yeah!!!

If that would be better then why are you guys so desperate to hold on to Nigeria.

If you have Oil in commercial quantities why not do the needful?

Why depend on the oil from the Niger Delta?

Why is the government spending billions exploring for oil in the Chad Basin while your fictional oil goes unnoticed by the IOCs.

How many oil blocs are in the SW?

Inspite of the unrest in the ND why have the IOCs refused to leave us and seek for oil in your 'hospitable' land?

If you can't stand on your own why stay in a country that holds you back from making sophisticated progress - cowardice?

You tell us. But I stand to be corrected on my initial post when I see the SW take up a manly stand and seek self-actualization.

Till then, you guys remain subject to the whims and caprices of your Northern masters.

Now you want out abi? The same reason why Azikwe turned down Awolowo's demand of the Yorubas to stay out of the marriage is the same reason why we will never let you go until we are ready or at least, when we are convinced you've got some senses.
When we were practising true federalism, your senseless ancestors were not satisfied. They killed the leaders, installed their brother in khaki and he lumped the country together the way it is now. Don't tell me you're tired of one Nigeria. It's time to enjoy the fruit of your fathers' labor.
Call us Northern slaves all you want; we know who and who is living in bondage in this country.
This country splits only when we call it quit. Dragging ND with you won't help.
