Due process is that the Chief Judge of the State will constitute a panel that will investigate all the allegations made against Fayose, if found guilty, then they can seat and impeach him. Right now, the panel has not been constituted but Buhari wants him impeached illegally.

Yes Justice is delayed in this country but on issues pertaining to impeachment of governors in this country, have we ever experienced justice being delayed if lawmakers are determined to impeach such governors? Numerous examples are available. some of those impeachments, the courts said its ok, some the courts upturned. Why should Fayose case be an exception?
If the lawmakers are determined, Fayoses impeachment will be speedily expedited.

What do u mean by forcefully? The lawmakers are empowered by law to impeach any governor as a result of gross misconduct from the governors side. The constitution never expantiate on what gross misconduct mean. it left it open for the discretion of the lawmakers. If in the wisdom of the house, Fayose has committed a gross misconduct act, then he will be impeached. that is no force but complete rule of law

The lawmakers arent foolish. They know the law court will upturn their decision if the proper thing isnt done. If they still want to impeach him, they can still seat today and ask the CJ to constitute a panel. Tommorrow, panel is constituted and commence work immediately. Wednesday, panel finish work (just a single case of the governor) and submit report on thursday. That thursday, House will sit on the report and depending on the outcome of the panel, they can choose to impeach him. So u see, there is time to do the right thing.

As for Omirin, the case is in court and status quo ante was asked to be maintained until the case is disposed. The status quo as at Nov 2014 is that Omirin has been impeached. The legality of his impeachment is what is being challenged in court and it was Omirin that instituted it. So he has to wait for the court to determine the legality or otherwise of his impeachment. He is not the Speaker for now
