The President earns N3.51 million per year,

Vice President (N3.03 mil­lion),

Senator (N2.48 million)


Minister (N2.02 million),

Minister of State (N1.95 million)

Special Adviser (N1.94 million),

Governor (N2.22 million),

Deputy Governor (N2.11 million),

Com­missioners (N1.33 million).

These are actually not a lot of money. If they can plug corruption and other useless sources of expenditures, they should be fine with these salaries. At N3.5 mill for the president, even I, am earning more than 5 times his salary. These salaries are not enough for all the things we see our politicians do when they come abroad. That simply means that either these figure are false, or/and they all are stealing lots of money for their abroad shopping, etc.

Their are other pecks that these people enjoy that RMAFC do not regulate. Have you heard of "Security vote"? Public officers make most of their monies via white elephant project and mediocre projects eg Osun Airport project, the fraudulent Amaechi light rail project etcetera

Am not really concern about d salary, what we should b talking about is their numerous allowance they collect, the allowances they collect is where d problem lies!
