Nigeria with it huge Black population could be a shining example in Africa, but tribalism and religion has kept the people in a frozen psychological state of mind.Jealousy, ignorance and superstition seem to be the order of the day.Tribalism, religions belief paralyze blacks from progressing.Lack of Nationalism, pride in country, love of black people, need to be promoted....the world awaits Africa

That is so true,Black people always seem to find a way to seperate ourselves from each other, looking to see what tribal mark in each others face,it is really stupid. We find more affinity with the Englishman expousing how well we speak english,oh he or she is so intelligent because they studied in English, all that says to me is how colonized their mind is.To prove that fact look at the skin bleaching taking place in Africa, even though its killing black people it cant stay on the shelf long enough.....It deep self hatred

With all due respect....can you honestly call Nigeria a nation? Aren't we lending powers to White Supremacy when we try (unsuccessfully) to work with a country forcibly joined together by White colonialists?

A country-wide referendum on how the country should be run is preferred. The UK did this peacefully with Ireland and Scotland.

Why should Nigeria be different?

We need a leadership in Africa that promotes life, that promotes clean drinking water, food security for Africans, making sure every African ate today, good schools and health care for African people....a leadership that see that every African man, woman and child develop to their fullest potential regardless of tribe, religion or politics, basis rights for all people....That is the leadership we want a pro African leadership

Now this is a great response to the OP. Yes, tribalism and religious bigotry are the main problems in Nigeria, and we have been told to move on from that year in and year out.

But guess what?

You can't sweep sh.it under the carpet and expect visitors to not smell it during Ibankwor.

Africans need to restructure their continent on African terms and natural boundaries, and not the continual upholding of England, France, and other homogenous White countries colonial structures. No "Nigerian" coined England, drew up British boundaries, or meddled in British affairs, and that is why for a start, they the British are a greater nation than we.
