Reasons Why PDP Will Rise Up Again By 2019 by MuguliciousMUGU: 5:21pm On Jun 10, 2015
1) The election of bukola saraki as senate president
senator bukola saraki as the new senate president brings more hope to the PDP camp, as a former PDP loyalist, he would be working in good terms with his former PDP members. Therefore, there is a probability that the PDP senators can still influence saraki to support them, thereby making PDP back and better.

2) THE CRISIS IN APC CAMP
the crisis between APC members is rising up, with lawan- led factor going to court, this may cause more crisis in apc camp, it may lead to a situation whereby apc senators might start fighting theirselves and therefore lead to defection. Some Apc senators may decide to defect back to PDP. For example, since APC members are against bukola saraki, this may make saraki assume that they are planning evil against him, thereby making him to defect back to PDP, and automatically, if bukola defects back to PDP, then some APC senators will decide to follow him, thereby making PDP to gain the majority seat in the house of senate once again. Just as the crisis happened in the governors forum between amechi and jonathan, it may repeat itself again in the national assembly.

3) TINUBU AS APC LEADER
tinubu has been imposing his men in the NASS, now that he has lost both the house of senate and house of rep, he would want to fight back, and once he tries to fight back, most senators including governors might get angry with him and therefore defect back to PDP.

And more...

Kowa and Apga have better chance at winning the Presidency than the killer party. In 2019, anyone that try to take Nigeria back to the Corruption, Failures and under-development of 16yrs of the PDP will be flogged and deported grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

PDP is a bad party. But one can never rule it out, they might return if apc fail woefully.

But for me pdp should wait till 2056, that was the year obasanjo wish nigerians deserve to have stable electricity.

Or still pdp should wait till other parties fix the power problem because pdp members have no brain to fix power problem.

The biggest joke I've seen so far this month. did you really mean this post?

PDP has lost the grassroots, make no mistake about this! PDP to the average Nigerian means poison that should never be consumed but used to fight enemies, therefore politics in High places can never help them at the grassroots.

Do you ever think Bukola Saraki means good news outside Kwara state? Or you think that because he was elected by a grand alliance to whittle down Tinubu's dominance, then he can win or help the PDP win a presidential election if it gets to the masses to decide? Many Nigerians are only happy that Saraki was elected because they want Tinubu's powers to be whittled down, not they have any love for PDP

Nigerians want PDP to do a solid opposition to cut the excesses of the APC but they don't want it back into the presidency, SIMPLE!

young man, calm down, the problem with a party, is not the party itself, it is the candidates that matters, if PDP fields a better candidate, with the crisis in APC, PDP will come back again. Just the best candidate, that is all.

No Serious Politician will ever make mistake of going back to those Tribal jingolist (PDP).

Atiku, Saraki and Dogara to join pdp is only possible if they will take over the party. And still crash it again with their over ambition.coz anything short of givin em presidential ticket cant go with each. That's if they ll ever make that mistake of going back. Nigerians ll not take them Serious anymore.

your own opinion, PDP is not dead yet, if Buhari fails to deliver his promises, you know nigerians na, they would sack him sharp sharp and they would shift back to PDP, this would give PDP another chance to take over power in 2019... Remember the crisis in APC is growing up small small, this is the same thing that happened to PDP, now it is happening to APCcheesy

no ooo, the reverse can never be the case, because the lawan led faction has gone to court to nullify the election of saraki, now if the court refuses to nullify it, then things will not work out well with the APC senators, because they would begin to disagree with theirselves, which may lead to a great crisis that can never be resolved, remember amechi and jang faction. Nigeria politics is very easy to predict, just be watching...

I did think PDP is dead and buried, with the yesterday occurrence and event, if APC isn't careful, PDP may eventually come back to displace APC.

Even if PDP rises, it will be dominated by the North. Already the party has said its presidential candidate in 2019 would come from the North. As at now, the party is dominated by the South South and South East which used religion and ethnicity to campaign against the North. By that time the South South and South East realize where they stand in the polity, they would realize that they had dropped their clamour for Biafra and Lower Niger for a long time, since Saraki became the Senate President. Have you seen any thread on Biafra or Lower Niger since yesterday?

D only way PDP will come back is if PMB performs woefully which a good Nigerian should not pray for.
NB: What we need is good governance.

Don't associate OBJ with PDP again. PDP is a SS/SE party.

leave story, with the situation on ground, APC is currently in crisis, Buhari is still looking for help from USA, now tell me, did USA help Jonathan? Since USA did not help Jonathan, how do you think that they would help buhari?... If PDP will field a better candidate, they would take over power once again, he does not matter whether the person is from the north or south, as far as the person is a good leader, then no wahala.

My brother be realist for once and stop deluding yourself.

- Hon. Ken will not even carry carry SE against 1000s of candidates (I love his input on OBJ 3rd term issue), nothing more.
- Sullivan is sick and he treatment to his wife Clara will not win him vote anywhere. He was my governor and did well in the coal city. Rural development is zero. Even Ekweremmadu will have a better chance than chime (still will not be enough)

So get us name. Let us see those PDP will use to perform wonders. grin grin grin grin

1) The election of Saraki favours Saraki and not the PDP. Saraki can tell the pdp to "go and die" and there's nothing legal they can do about it. No party has the required 2/3 majority to impeach him so the only way for Saraki to be impeached is for the APC and PDP to come together which is not likely to happen.
2) The crises in the APC can be resolved easily. With the APC having majority in both houses as well as controlling the executive, Saraki and the APC need themselves. Senator Ike was Saraki's insurance policy.
3) Tinubu is not stupid, if Tinubu was really interested in choosing the Senate president, you can bet he's probably cutting a deal with Saraki right now.
