Former Nigerian president, Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo has claimed that the President-elect Buhari might not change Nigeria in the coming years.
In a meeting with the South-West women leaders in Abeokuta, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo made it known that the president-elect Muhammadu Buhari might not be able to change Nigeria in the near future because the damages the present government have caused is not something that can be amended in just four years.
Nigeria is currently in a state of havoc with problems like the fuel scarcity, terrorism, low power generation amongst others so with all these, I don’t think the president-elect will be able to change this great nation overnight. Obasanjo urged Nigerians that the new government of Buhari will be inheriting a very bad government with other debts attached to it, and for people to smile again, they will have to endure a bit because it takes identifying the wrong turn to know the right one.

The leader of the women society, Iyalode of Yorubaland, Chief Lawson Alaba asked the former Nigerian president the favour of not letting the President-elect out of sight when he assumes power in May29. We know that the president-elect has military experience but we want you (Obasanjo) to be of a great help to him in moving this nation to where we want to be. Nigeria is not a country to be shaken by some sects that call themselves boko haram.
It gives us a lot of concern hearing daily that our sisters and daughters are suffering continuously in the hands of this terrorists up- north without our government having anything to do about it. We The South-West women leaders believe that it takes great leadership to take a great nation to greater heights. Obasanjo claimed that he has great faith in the President-elect Mohammadu Buhari and believes he (Buhari) will take the nation Nigeria to that expected height and also put a smile on the peoples face again.

Useless old ape. What did he do in his 8 yrs of governance

Buhari should just distance himself from this shrinking face who once had great opportunities to redefine our nation's economy but chooses to divert everything for his personal use.

Ah swear i can kill this fat lips if given opportunity.

Fellow Nigerians, let's show the world we are polite and courteous in our conversations. We should show regards to the elderly if not for their experience, at least for their age. It has become common in this forum for many to be abusing their Father's mates simply because they are politicians. Yes, they may deserve insults but should the insult come from you?

On the other hand, this topic may get to the front page

Buhari is no longer President-elect. Now the GCFR

Stories for the dumbazz. To hell with the elders who see nothing in inflicting pains on citizens, elders who had no respect for human life.

I don't see this ape as an elder statesman. In saner climes, this man should be behind bars or six feet beneath.

Obj is trying to stay relevant at all cost. I don't blame him, I blame the press that gives him the airtime.
