Presentations are being prepared for the 2 Neighbouring states to pull resources in a joint effort to build a mega deep sea port in what experts view would be a turning point in the nation's maritime economic history. Viewers have it that the 2 oil producing states with abundant coastal boundaries are yet to tap into the multi-billion dollar maritime economy.

Experts posit that this joint effort would yield a maritime economy that would transform the economy of the 2 eastern states and their neighbouring eastern commercial business communities in Aba and Onitsha. Preliminary technical survey shows that boundary tributaries between Opobo and Ikot Abasi exist which has sea depths of more than 10 meters with out dredging.

Ongoing talk among experts reveal that with the 2 neighbours planning to go into the joint venture project the east would witness an economic revamp similar to what sea port cities like Singapore and Dubai experienced in the 90s with both economies witnessing influx of oil and gas companies, ship building, dry dock facilities, fishing trawling and naval technology adaptation.

This will be good for the 2 states rather than each state spend money on different sea ports, they can get into a joint venture.

Abia state should better join this collaboration since it will help booster the export and import economy of Aba

very soon the Obas of lagos would embark on another round of campaign to beg igbos not to relocate. The noise about lagos would give way to plea for understanding.

This is very Important and very strategic. . . Any attempt to scuttle this project will elicit pure madness from the East. Haters have been warned, there is no reason why we cannot have viable seaports in the East to bring in our goods directly from our waters. Anambra Govt and other Eastern states can also join this consortim and share ideas to make it come to fruition.

It's always been "To" "Will" "Shall"

I wish them best of luck. They need one.
