Yoruba Groups Confer Merit Award On Cardiologist, Dr Ariyo by IROHINOodua: 5:44pm On Jun 16, 2015
The Pan Yoruba Groups have on Tuesday conferred what it called the distinguished merit award on Dallas based cardiologist, Dr Adeniran Ariyo. The award was named the “Distinguished Yoruba Professional of the Decade”. The group said the award was conferred on Dr Ariyo for his perseverance, his courage, resilience and the promotion of the highest values of over 60million Yoruba people all over the world saying that the recent attacks on him were aimed at the Yoruba people in general.
In a statement made available to our correspondent on Tuesday, the Pan Yoruba Groups, a coalition of 35 self determination groups promised to convey the message to relatives of Dr Ariyo in Nigeria. The group stated “Dr Ariyo rose up at a critical moment of national trauma. Though his statement has been misunderstood, what he spoke against in summary was the ‘death economy’ which has taken the lives of many people in Nigeria especially women and children.
“The Award entails a certificate and a plague. We are going to hand over all these to his relations in Nigeria”, Martins Adeleke told Irohinodua on behalf of the coalition. He said “Dr Ariyo is from an exemplary family of truth bearers. He is from a family of brave people. We have checked his record. He has made tremendous contributions to human live, decent living and righteous behavior. This negates the emerging culture in his fatherland, where fake, deadly drugs are procured in the name of profit and millions of people pay dearly with their lives. He is a professional who finds ‘death economy’ repulsive and he rose against it with rare courage.”
The cardiologist’s travails since he was accused of issuing a statement in support of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu has once again brought into sharp focus the agelong prejudices between the Yoruba and the Igbo, two rival ethnic groups that have a bitter history of enmity largely informed by the stiff competition for power and resources within the purview of Nigeria’s artificial state.
Meanwhile, the Pan Yoruba Groups said it has shelved a mass rally scheduled to take place at Ladipo market in Lagos on Thursday.
“We are postponing the rally slated for Thursday. The rally was planned to shut down Ladipo market so as to send a strong message to the Dallas hoodlums attacking a the Yoruba professional”, Abayomi Olowolagba, an official of the Oodua Peoples Congress, (OPC) which is a member of the coalition told Irohindoodua. He said several leading Yoruba civil right activists have prevailed on the Pan Yoruba groups to at least postpone the rally.
‘We already mobilized thousands of people to ensure we block Ladipo market and prevent anyone from selling anything there for one week. We had to postpone the plan due to intervention of some leading Yoruba human right activists’ Alhaji Akeem Ajayi , the coordinator of the OPC in Mushin told our correspondent..
“He said “Dr Ariyo has shown rare courage and perseverance even in the face of persecution. Some Igbo hoodlums were hired and paid 100 dollars per day to bring Dr Ariyo down. It was born out of jealousy, hate and historical prejudices against the Yoruba people.”

Well, I could have like the rally to hold even for month.... just so that most blind igbos will open their eyes and know Nigeria is not a home....

Even the sophisticated hypocrites called nigeria an artificial state, yet they fought to make Igbos a unit part of mere geographical location and an artificial state

Every action............equal and opposite reaction........

The Igbo Yoruba war is slowly brewing.......

They found a home from home ......mass market and prosperity........ but the chest beating bastards fooled themselves into thinking our ancestral land is there for the taking.

I laugh loud in 3D.....Goodest move.
