Many think of global warming as the reason for our recent extreme weather that is ravaging the planet but Sango disagrees. The Elders would disagree, for the Elders know and understand the spiritual world and spiritual forces are at work cleansing the Earth of the wicked. Yet this cleansing, with storms, will not only affect the unjust but the just as well. Sango is the Orisha of fire. And fire is the most powerful force in the cosmos. Fire is what Olodumare uses to create and destroy entire galaxies, planetary systems and planets. Who are men to think they can oppose the very ruler of heaven? Even the demons, Ajogun, tremble at His army of Orishas. Sango is the Alaafin, King of all Kings, and if prayed to and respected, Sango will deliver. Ase.

the entire Ile sees and trembles.

before the Alaafin of all of Ile.
Orun proclaim His righteousness,
and all peoples see His glory.
All who worship foreign images are put to shame,
those who boast in foreign idols—
worship him, all you rulers.
Yoruba hears and rejoices
and the villages of Oyo are glad
because of your judgments, Baba Sango.
For you, Alaafin, are the Most High over all of Ile;
you are exalted far above all rulers.
Let those who love the Alaafin hate evil,
for He guards the lives of His faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
Light shines on the righteous
and joy on the upright in heart.
