Senator Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello is the first child of former president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Having served as a senator in the National Assembly between 2007 and 2011, she has since relocated to the United States of America. A distinguished Advanced Leadership Fellow of the Harvard University, Iyabo in 2014 became a Distinguished Fellow at the Boston University, African Presidential Center, Boston in USA.

For those not in the know, Senator Iyabao Obasanjo-Bello attended Corona School in Victoria Island, Lagos, Capital School in Kaduna, and Queen’s College in Lagos. She has 3 degrees: bachelor’s in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Ibadan; master’s in Epidemiology from University of California, USA; and a PhD in Epidemiology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, USA.
