Uduaghan Left Debt Of N636b: A Detailed Analysis (delta Took In N2.2 Trillion) by cuteboy2: 6:34pm On Jun 26, 2015

It was widely reported in the press today that new Gov of Delta State lamented that his predecessor, Gov Uduaghan left debt of N636b.

Some Analysis to ascertain how much Delta got in 8 years under Uduaghan:

Assuming he has been paying 50% of that amount in interests and capital, that means Delta was overburdened with a debt of at least N1.2trillion

Delta had some the highest allocations from FAAC. Monthly net allocation (including 13% and VAT) = N10b. Annually, this amounted to N120 billion. For the 8 years he was in power, Delta got N960billion from Federation account.

When you add the amount borrowed to the FAAC allocation, Delta under Gov Uduaghan got (wait for it):

N1.2trillion + N960billion = N2.2 trillion.

At today's average exchange rate of 1$ : N200, the N2.2 trillion Delta got in 8 years = $10.8 billion

There is absolutely nothing on ground in Delta State to show for such huge resources expended by Uduaghan.

Sad aspect about all this that Deltans known to be very vocal and assertive are plodding along like zombies. Nobody raises a whimper to ask a simple question. WHERE DID ALL THE MONEY GO??

I knew Chike Ogeah boys who sold the Uduaghan-is-a-Star dummy to the whole world and made themselves wealthy in the process, will soon descend like vultures to defend their thieving Oga.

Address the N2.2 trillion or $10.8 billion issue I have raised.
Calling public officials to account for their tenure of service is not stalking.

Praising God indeed!!

More like blaspheming God angry

If you steal public money so wantonly the way your principal, Uduaghan has done, why won't you go on "thanksgiving" spree. After all, it is the Nigerian way. The most despicable public officers are those who pretend the most to be religious. angry

Look at how wretched Delta State is today. All because a thieving Governor was plundering his state, and using a portion of it to buy goodwill in the Lagos press. Even the road in front of Uduaghan's personal house, where he holds court with his political minions and foot soldiers like @tpiadotcom is perpetually flooded every time it rains.

All the streets in Ekerurede-Urhoboh where the governor's house is located in Warri is in a sorry state of disrepair, with sewage running in the streets. Ex-Gov Ibori, tarred roads in Ekurede-Urhobo, but the idiotic thieving Gov Uduaghan did absolutely nothing to improve on what he met on ground.

For Uduaghan it was zero maintenance, and zero new projects. Every of his so called projects, were avenues to siphon money. He has a rule. No reputable contractors like Julius Berger or RCC are allowed to execute any project in Delta throughout his tenure, so they can siphon almost 100% of the contract sum.

I challenge Uduaghan's transducers like @tpiadotcom to come and list Uduaghan's projects here so we can analysis them to see their value. Let's start with the silly and criminal project called BRT in Warri. Or should we start with the vacuous propaganda based "Delta Beyond Oil"?

@tpiadotcom
over to you. Come and defend your principal with facts.

@tpiadotcom: You still have not addressed the $10.8billion or N2.2 trillion matter.
Where did your principal, ex-gov Uduaghan keep Delta State's money??
