LeOstrich: 70 percent of their battles were in close confined spaces, please be informed. When a Company goes into a battle it carries an assortment of weapons shared amongst various sections to adapt to changing scenarios typical of assymetric warfare. Typically intel comes in that a group of insurgents are occupying a village. They advance on the village and may engage at distance with more accurate field rifles. They supress the enemy and move in to mop up, house to house. At close quarters the field rifle is clumsy and ineffective, a smaller, handy gun is better. So don't criticise until you have the full picture. In assymetric warfare you need more than one speciality. Our military has found out this at great cost. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

SLIDEwaxie:With people like you Nigeria will never move forward ; the man you are insulting has raised valid points that a person without any form of military training will clearly point out yet the only response he gets from people like you is insults? Now, let me ask you if the Nigeria Army has been doing the right things all along; how come they keep losing territories and men to boko haram. 13 Likes 1 Share |

shortgun: Maybe it's a Nigerian thing. We cannot take criticism even when it is constructive and thats very bad. I guess everyone is expected to be a praise singer, how else can one explain the abusive rebuttals to genuine questions raised. |
Re: Special Forces Units And Operators Of The Nigerian Armed Forces by Bollinger(m): 8:38am On Jun 30, 2015 |
LeOstrich: So true. That's why we switched from the m16 to the m4. M4's are so much better for CQC's. The enemy kept grabbing the m16 barrel because it was too long and you couldn't make quick sharp movements in confined spaces. God, I miss this shiit sometimes. 2 Likes |

What's with the UNNECESSARY dissing? I don't tolerate nor accept all condescending opinions laced with hatred and unpatriotism. The gears can and should be better, but remember this are PEOPLE risking their lives for country, so you wouldn't have to. Give them the respect they deserve. Got insults to hurl? Hurl them act the ruling class that has failed the military (while not exempting the corrupt military bigwigs). Besides the Travor is The SBS's standard issue, which is well suited for their primary task: on BOARD COMBAT. 2 Likes |
