 I saw the 1 pound note but I don't think I ever touched it while it was a legal tender. However, I spent the "kobo oniho" (one kobo coin with a central hole in it), "sisi" (5kobo coin), etc. 1 Like |

How come there always is an Arabic inscription on almost all Nigerian bank notes, are we Arabs.m are we all Muslims.? Even 1 pound of 1960s have this inscription of Arabic origin. Old 100 naira, present 200 naira, 500 and 1000 naira have Arabic inscription. only the 100 naira gej remade as centenary celebrations does not have that inscriptions. also the polymers don't have it. |
