When it comes to meats, am very selective.
I don't know why people consume meat so much while fish is more nutritious.

A developing duck embryo that’s boiled alive in its shell. As well as sounding incredibly harsh, it looks incredibly unappetising. Still, it’s a common street food and is usually served with beers. Can’t say I have the stomach for it.

20. Snake Wine.

As the name suggests snake wine is an alcoholic beverage made with snake and rice wine (or grain alcohol). Many of thesnakes are venomous, but the ethanol makes it safe to drink. There are two types of snake wine – you either immerse a snake in rice wine and leave it for many months, or you drain the fluids of a snake directly into the alcohol and take it as a shot. Snake wine is a traditional part of many regional cuisines in China, and is believed to be particularly good for the health.

I've tried snake wine on a dare before in my friend's parents' cellar. It smells and tastes absolutely horrendous, but man the buzz that ensues from just one sip is in a category all its own.

They use it on special occasions, but also as a medicine. It's a 'cure-all' of sorts. And what do we know about 'cure-alls'? They cure NOTHING grin

Maybe the idea of was to get you so buzzed from the very first sip that you not only forget how disgustingly horrendous it tastes/smells, but you also feel yourself being magically healed from within thanks to holy mixture of snake venom, medicinal herbs, and ethanol.

Snake wine has to be the most manageable thing on here. And even if I absolutely refuse to consume it, I can pretend I want to age it or something, and she'll be none the wiser. The hands-down grossest thing IMO is the 1000 day egg. Blegh. The snails too, but maybe I'm just used to the idea of snail products being consumed. My S/O also likes to eat caviar almost on the regular. All blegh, but hey. So long as it's not getting anywhere near me, nor them me (until they brush their teeth & mouthwash)...

It kinda looks neat tho, doesn't it? In a way.
