 Job seekers take note. Today, more than half of employers now use social media to screen your applications. Those indiscretions on your profile might just be the devil you’ve spent countless sleepless nights “binding and casting”. Drunken party photos, insensitive jokes, tribal comments, extreme political expressions, religious fanaticism, offensive language, bad reports/comments of you by others on your profile etc. might be sabotaging your job search efforts. Grammar and spelling mistakes can also play a damaging role in employers’ doubt on your suitability for roles. Any excuse not to give people jobs, or any excuse to practice buddyism. This is like google nitpicking people's job applications instead of giving info on how many positions are actually available for the tens of thousands who apply. ( maybe a few hundred or less? ). |
