The BBOG group, who are scheduled to meet with the president on Tuesday, had converged on the Unity Fountain, Abuja, at 9am. The procession was led by Obiageli Ezekwesili and Aishat Oyebode, but both of them could not endure the long trek to the villa, so they hopped into a jeep. That was before Buhari’s intervention. Ezekwesili appeared unusually weak while the protesters were fewer than usual. The group left for the villa at 10am, but stopped at the first gate, which is still a long distance to the main premises, before the buses were provided.
