The Governor of Kaduna state and former Federal Capital Territory(FCT) minister is no doubt the best performing governor in Nigeria in the past 45 days in office of the governors in office. He has perform excellently well in different aspect of governance in the state ranging from fifty percent salary cut, banning of beggars, autonomy to local governments and control of kaduna south crisis.

Fifty percent salary cut
The Kaduna state governor is the first among others that announce 50 percent salary cut which is among the agenda of the new Buhari led administration to reduce the cost of governance.
'n recognition of the difficult challenges we face, our deputy Governor and I have concluded that the sacrifices that change requires must begin with us. We have decided to take a pay cut and donate 50 percent of our salaries and allowances, until our fiscal situation improves' as staed in his inauguration speach.

Banning of bggars
The governor was able to ban bggars in the street of Kaduna within the first 45 dys in office  following Tuesday 7th of July  bomb blast at Sabon-gari Local Government Area, Kaduna State Governor, He did this  in order to enhance security of the state.
n a statement issued by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan, all beggars and hawkers are to stay off the streets until further notice.

Autonomy for local overnment
So far, te kaduna sate governor is efirst nd the only governor that has announced  'Autonomy to the LGAs' which is one fhe agenda of the All Progressive Congress(APC) nd Buhari led administration.

Kaduna south killings
As part  of the kaduna state government to end the major security challenges face by the state since post lection violence of 2011, governor El-Rufai has set pa committee led by Gen. Martin luther Agwai  to provide a lasting solution te killings  of people in hsouthern part of kaduna
