@op, will you allow those plantain to grow a little bit before you stock? The place might be too open for the snails to survive or do well?

secondly, i dont know if you have been doing it somewhere before? If not, i would have advise you to start small and grow big.

I think the snails will escape
If you dont want them to escape and you want to reduce ant issues
then build a water fence around the staked area
you do this by digging the perimeter at a horizontal water level and then using a mixture of trampoline and cement to seal it
you then run water through your perimeter fence

I will be showing you samples of the free range snail farming style in Lagos Nigeria. Bear in mind that this style can be replicated in any part of Africa, Europe,America,Australia or Asia.

This style boasts of increased productivity, freshness of snails and fast growth of snails(reach tablesize by 6 months).

The beauty of it is that no matter how small your land is, as long as there is soil on the ground, you can practise this. And if you have a space as much as 20 acres,we can set it up for you.

I decided to post it in the investment section because it could be a little bit capital intensive in the set up stage, but once set up, it becomes a function of plug and play.
One thing is certain though, your investment will be worth it 6months from farm set up.

We treat the soil before the snails arrive. With cypermethrin(alpha action) + deltamethrin. That takes care of it while the galvanised sheets used in making the perimeter fencing protects the entire field against burrowing animals like lizards, snakes, rabbits and rodents.

How much dos the construction cost,if you do it and the snail breed?thanksis snail farming technology. It is what anybody can do. You construct your snail farm yourself and get your breeder stock from me if you so wish.

If you also want me to supervise the construction, then you pay me for my time and consultancy.

Anybody can do it. And please have no worries about marketing your snails. That should be the least of your problems. I can vouch for that.

If for any reason you want me to handle the construction and acquiring of your materials, then you must give me my freedom to do so both financially and time wise.

Posting them soon.

Meanwhile, below are some of our other farms.[/quote]
