I didn't find it difficult to read, u r right, the mind doesn't read the letter one after the other but rather the whole word at a time.

I couldnot believe that I could actually understand what I was reading.

Op, you got "phaonmneal" wrong. Spelling it accordingly to the correct word would make yours a wrong word.
