Ekekeee can reliably report that Mr. Gordon Obua who served as Chief Security Officer (CSO) to immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan is not dead as has been speculated by a section of the blogosphere and the social media. Rumors were rife all through Monday that Obua had given up the ghost in the hands of the Department of State Services (DSS) who took him custody last week. A source with the DSS relayed that Obua was hell bent on embarking on a hunger strike as soon as he was picked up for interrogation by the DSS. That move took its toll on him and he had fainted on Monday; sparking wild speculations. Obua had also refused to drink water, in protest. He was rushed to the hospital after passing out and is reportedly in “stable condition” at the time of filing this story. He was discharged as well on Monday. He was picked up to answer for allegations bordering on siphoning security funds and aiding oil theft in the Niger Delta. Glad to hear he is still alive even though I didn't believe the initial post about his death.. I begin to wonder what's with this fake journalism these days,many people want to give out news at the expense of another person's welfare/life..and the most annoying part of the whole fake news thingy is the group of people who are quick to believe such posts and make horrible comments without verifying the news...we really have a long way to go if we continue with this kinda attitude... . 1 Like |
