Can Wi-Fi signal charge our gadget?

Researcher are developing ways on how the Wi-Fi signals can be use to charge devices.
Many people regard Wi-Fi as the King, since the development of Wi-Fi in the technology world, it has change possible things that we can do with our gadget. Wi-if has been around about 15 years now, though it still in its infant stage, the wireless networking standard has developed rapidly over the years.

A group from the University of Washington is developing this technology to allow us charge or boost our batteries without attaching any plug to our devices. they called it "PoWi-Fi" or "Power over Wi-Fi"
