Jonathan CSO Obua Released - Vanguard by Nobody: 5:15pm On Jul 22, 2015
ABUJA – Few hours after he dispelled rumours of
his death, the Department of State Services, DSS,
has released the Chief Security Officer, CSO, to
former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Gordon
Obua.
Vanguard gathered from reliable security sources
that Obua, who was allowed to go after a
comprehensive de-briefing by operatives of the
DSS, spent the Tuesday night in home with his
family.

Obua, according to the security sources was
released around 10pm Tuesday’s night.
The former CSO was held in the DSS facility in
Abuja since July 16, 2015 amid speculations that
he had passed on in detention.
Obua’s lawyer also raised the alarm that he was
denied access to his doctor, lawyer and family
members and also denied access to his
medications for hypertension and diabetes.

However, Odua was presented before newsmen at
the operative’s conference room, where he
expressed surprised over the rumour of his dead.
His words, “Gentlemen of the press, let me use
this opportunity to thank all Nigerians, members
of my family, and concerned citizens who have
expressed very serious concerns for the past six
days, because of the prevailing situation between
me and my office.

“This morning my attention was drawn to a
report that I have died in detention. This has
caused serious anxiety within the populace. I
want to use this medium to tell Nigerians,
members of my family and all concerned citizens
that I am healthy.
“I am a staff of the Department of State Services,
DSS, and having completed my tour of duties as
Chief Security Officer, CSO, to the last President,
the Service feels that I should give account of my
tenure.

“So far, there is no adverse situation and I am
optimistic that Nigerians will be informed about
the outcome of this exercise. Once again, I thank
you immensely and I want to use this opportunity
to thank the Director General of DSS, Mr.
Mohamed Daura, for the way he has treated me
from the time I came in to this period.
“Nigerians should be assured that the
Department of State Services is a very responsible
organisation, and I believe that nothing adverse
will be done to my person if I have not done
anything wrong.”

I said it before and I'll continue to say it; Thetrentonline.com is a PDP propaganda media outlet, they claimed he had died in the custody of DSS. You guys should also watch out for Thebreakingtimes.com, which is another PDP propaganda media outlet. We are keenly watching them.
