The duration of courtship in relationship I think is for the couples to get to know themselves very well but lately, we are having an increased number of desperate singles whom all they just want to do is get married.

This is possibly as a result of their fast rising age. And recent studies have shown that a very high percentage of marriages crash in its first six months. Why? Because, they found themselves living with a total stranger.

How long should you and your partner date before thinking of marrying such person? Everybody has his or her own down side and your decision to want to settle down with a particular person doesn't make him/her a saint but because you have decided to endure such person's excesses as well as helping him/her become a better person. Notwithstanding, you just don't meet a partner today and conclude marriage plans next month. For as you rush in, so will you rush out.

For example; while you were dating him, he bullies you and you think you will be able to cope with such after marriage?

While you were dating her, she disrespects you and/or your family members but you are so overwhelmed by love that you tend to ignore but will you continue to ignore such after marriage?

Another common example is a lady that doesn't know how to cook. Would you continue to eat in restaurants after marriage? Oh! Or you would get a house help?

There is no time frame for dating. You marry when you are comfortable with the person as your life partner, or break up when you know you both have no future. No use wasting anyone's time.


Marry the person not because you can live with them, but because you can't live without them.

It doesn't matter how old a relationship is. Wah rili matters is how compatible a couple is.
