The PDP in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, on Tuesday said the clarification has become necessary to remove any misconception that it is against the decision of the present administration to probe some past officials of government because they are PDP members.
“The PDP supports the decision of the Federal Government to fight corruption in our country.

However, we make bold to state that it should not be used as a guise to victimize innocent citizens. Democracy has come to stay in Nigeria and no citizen, irrespective of political, religious or ethnic affiliation should be denied access to due process and the rule of law in the process.

“In the same vein, we want to state categorically that the anti-corruption war, whilst targeted at the immediate past administration, should not by any means be blind to the impunity of the present leaders of the country either in terms of borrowing and spending without recourse to the statutory arms and organs of government and dictates of transparency and accountability, or in terms of nepotism in appointments in key institutions such as INEC and the DSS.

“The anti-corruption effort must not be blind to the corrupting of the security system resulting in the intrusion by over-zealous operatives on issues bordering purely on politics; the hounding, arrest and detention of Resident Electoral Officers and members of election tribunals in Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and other PDP states.

“Furthermore we make bold to state that he who comes to equity must come with clean hands. In that regard therefore, we advice members of the APC blowing the horn ahead of the cart to keep quiet because many of them have been major beneficiaries of corruption and sleazes associated with themselves and their allies, especially one of them who as a disguised errand boy of a well known APC leader, is a major beneficiary of the largesse of perpetrators of corruption.

“Apart from Mr. President, who for now, is not associated with any sleaze or corrupt activity in this democracy, most APC leaders are still those who as governors, ministers and labour leaders have been the worst corrupt set of Nigerians ever to bestride the political landscape of the country.

“It is a great miscarriage of perception therefore for APC leaders who are perpetrators of sleazes and corrupt acts to attempt to deceive Nigerians with imaginary holiness in this anti-corruption war by the President.

Consequently, we counsel Mr. President, as the leader of the APC, to remove the log in the eyes of his party while we support his commitment to remove the speck from the eyes of others.

What about PDP members?

.Thank God that some of us who were not bought over by money,religious, and ethnic sentiments voted pmb as President in d last poll.Judging by this revelation from the PDP,there is still hope for my dear country.Since the head ( pmb in this case)is not corrupt, who ever that is under him that is corrupt will have to adjust or be disgraced.When the President is not corrupt, people serving under and around him,will find it extremely difficult to perpetrate corruption, because when EFCC comes after them,there will no president to shield them.

Both PDP and APC are filled with greedy, corrupt people, but we're lucky, We have a candid president who wants to work for the good of this country, its left to us to support him and make things work or keep drowning in partisan, ethnic and religious sentiments which lead nowhere in particular

We are getting somewhere gradually.
The corrupt gangsters in the PDP have admitted that the instincts of those who voted for Buhari was right while those who voted Jonathan were wrong( the joke is on them).

Now let us get into the nitty gritty.
You can deduce from the difference in the voting patterns not only matters ranging from the issue of tribalism,religion ,bad governance etc, but also the level of enlightenment and the standard of education.
Many a times , you hear stuffs like
1 we do not depend on government
2 No federal presence
And so on from the other side

1) But what they are actually defensively saying is that their government,the one they have consistently voted for , is practically non-existent or exists at the basest level . Beyond security , law and order , education and health comes next.
The quality of government and governance is exactly why people are migrating Because that is what creates a conducive atmosphere for prosperity exists.

2) No federal presence
The jokes they vote into power to do advocacy on their behalf, practically go to the centre to stuff their faces with illicit gains . They build business empires with their states' money and direct their mugus to blame somebody else .
Lagos state did not wait for the federal government to start the process of building the Lekki port .
Ondo /ogun did not wait for the FG to conceptualise the olokola oil and gas zone ( which Mimiko has messed up )

Now a proper schooling
In a choice of two evils , less bad is alway better .
That choice gives you the opportunity to last and survive a bit longer before you are destroyed by those evil , or a chance at survival

In Nigeria , a critical thinker can easily see that corruption has grade . While a places like Lagos or ogun is creating millions of jobs ,functional institutions,seeing improvements in service delivery leading to mass immigration from other places ( many of them lawless and unstable ) etc , many other places are stuck in a time warp .
While port harcourt consolidated her place as the oil capital with amaechi investing on her strength (expansion of living space , human capital development) , Warri which used to be the it-place ,has continue to degenerate. Some state governors with more money than sense continue to put gloss over an humanitarian and social disaster .
In others words , some states are moving their people in the right direction ;albeit slowly , while others are stuck in a rot .
Those moving in the right direction get my vote all the time until all vermins have been eliminated from the polity . That is why Tinubu is better than them all and the world knows .
