The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it will stop reacting to statements and utterances of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) spokesman, Alhaji Lai Mohammed until he undergoes “psychiatric evaluation” and obtains his certificate of fitness.
Speaking at the end of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) meeting yesterday, Acting National Chairman of the party…. Also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the Director General of Department of State Service (DSS), Lawal Daura on the ground that he is a card carrying member of the APC.
Also, the PDP national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh said the party has documentary evidence and records to prove that Daura is a member of the APC, stressing that he was head of APC,s intelligence committee in the last presidential election.
“He is a member of APC that is not in contention. But what is worrisome from the statement is the angle where the spokesperson of the APC descended on the PDP that we are broke, that we are this and we are that. I think Nigerians are justified. Take a look at the physical appearance of the spokesperson of the APC. It is obvious that he came out of Aro clinic. I think he is in dire need of psychiatric evaluation.
“His lies, propaganda, deceitful statements are too many but when it goes ahead to talk about party being broke and making statements like this, I think he needs proper psychiatric evaluation.
“We will answer questions from any other person speaking for the government or speaking for the party, we will not answer questions from Lai Muhammed until he undergoes psychiatric evaluation. We will no longer reply his statements,” he said.
