please for how long can I keep pap? though I bought the dried one but I am thinking of putting it in water so that I can put it in the fridge.

Please advice, recently I noticed that when I prepare pap and pour into the flask it becomes watery after a while.what's the cause and what can I do to prevent this? thanks.
