Less than two months after appointing him as the chairman of the Lagos State taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences Unit, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has sacked Akeem Adedeji.

The governor has already appointed Olubukola Abey, a superintendent of police, as his replacement. No reason was however given for Adedeji’s sack.

Adedeji was only appointed in June 2015. There were however reports that his short stint was marked by shady deals. Also, there were reports and complaints that areas in Lagos like Obalende and Oshodi which had cleared in the past were being taken over once again by hoodlums.
