THE ABOBAKO SAGA especially the pictures circulating the internet are indeed fake... my reason are just fueled by my pure quest for genuine information and knowledge.... This bloggers in attempt to create traffic on their site put up all sought of untrue information which inturn mislead and misinform the people.... I was engaged in some argument with some friend as to the legitimacy of the said abobako picture circulating the net.. infact i experienced in literal form the term 'BLIND ARGUEMENT' so i had to investigate and prove beyond every reasonable doubt that those pic arent that of the ABOBAKO'S
REASON 1.. the traditional rulers death and burials are done with so much secrecy that even some immediate family members of the late king (wives and children included) arent allowed to see the corpse or participate in inner caccus burial rites... they are more or less spectators at their own dads burial....the selected few who are allowed to witness and participate in the inner burial rite of the king are sworn to secrecy and use their life and that of their family to swear to that oath..... (lets be real here an oath is an oath it will surely do as it is sworn to if the oath is broken)... indeed the ababako is already sacrificed as part of the burial rites...(i dont believe the story of it been an outdated tradition... )

REASON 2
that the purported abobako's pic circulating the net is so much a fake and has no relationship with the great ife kingdom...
infact it is indeed of ethiopian origin.
it is the fat man competition of the Bodi tribe as they celebrate the 'Kel"(Bode New year Celebration). The Bode is the name of a semi-nomadic tribe leaving in the Omo valley, about 140 km from the Ethiopian town of Jinka. Their homeland is remoted, located in the bush at the south west Omo valley. This year end celebration is a bit different than a usual new year celebration’s as the tradition is to feed young men from every Bode village. They are feeded only with cow blood and milk during 3-6 months ( fatning process). They manage then to almost double their weight, being then ready for the competition.of the fattest man. On the competition day, they arrive to the Bodi King village and after the dance they are measured by the elders who then decide who is the winner and the fattest.
THERE YOU HAVE IT THE SOURCE OF THE MAN PICTURED AS ABOBAKO...
