Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari is not likely to forgive immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan and other corrupt Nigerians. This, according to the All Progressives Congress (APC), is because of the mind-boggling level of looting of the nation’s treasury by the public officials. Celeb News Arena dot Com reports that a statement issued in Lagos by Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party’s national publicity secretary, revealed that anyone who attempts, either by deeds or words, to sabotage the recovery efforts is not a patriot and deserves nothing but public reproof. The statement read: “It is absolutely gratifying that Nigerians are vehemently opposed to the few who would rather have the government of the day turn a blind eye to the looted funds and, in their words, carry on with the process of governance. “Truly, what sort of governance can go on if the billions of Naira in a few hands are not recovered? In the first instance, the government needs every kobo of the funds it can muster to bring about the change it has promised Nigerians. “Secondly, leaving such hair-raising funds in the hands of the few looters is dangerous, because they can use the funds to destabilize any government. Anybody against probing is against Nigeria we need probing so that future leaders will learn from this and not play ignorant like that former ignorant clueless president. Former Head of thieves abdul salami is not a Nigerian and should be treated like an enemy of the state. His co members are not fighting for the interest of our nation. 1 Like |

Who is Buhari to say he will or will not forgive Jonathan for alledged embezzlement of public funds  Nobody is against them fighting corruption but, the Buhari led apc government must have it at the back of their minds that they were elected to uphold the constitution and govern through laid down laws of the land, not acting like lords with powers to sideline the rule of law and do as they please. We are in the 21st century not the stone age. |
