hi guys. Please my INFINIX HOT 2 has virus.
It boots to homepage. But blank. I cant see anything to
operate. Sm1 helped me took to an engineer for flashing, i
was told system complains of USB not recognised though
charging wen connected. They tried different USB cords
but still same. Please cn anybody help me or connect me
wt sm1 that can fix it. Im in portharcourt. Pls text msg or

I just got myself a fake infinix hot 2  bought it yesterday... I will return it today, just hope the man takes it... The packaging is real but the phone is fake... Started noticing from the Rom, the x510 instead of infinix x510... Decided to browse about it and my guess was right... |

Memunah: Only two ways... Change the date, bare in mind that you change the date to a day past the said date, and in the date and time settings, remove all automatic settings. Use the screenshot as guide. Second, you use a WiFi connection. Third, you wait for 10years

samoice: Unfortunately, there's no way you can change IMEI number on this phone since Marshmallow. Somehow, the config file got erased maybe mistakenly or deliberately, I have no idea. However, if you gain root access, you can change your IMEI number with these apps (Chamelephon or Mobile Uncle) |

Since infinix hot 3 is out, I don't think there will be any major update to the infinix hot 2 again so I feel I can conveniently root my phone now. Pls what is the best method for rooting the infinix hot 2? |

VKasparov:Bro, don't fool yourself with that. Hot3 is different from Hot2. Hot3 gets updates from Infinix while hot 2 gets updates from Google himself because it is an Androidone device. So don't compare them, if u root ur phone you might not be able to install d July patch update or the Android 7.0 nougat when it is finally released publicly and distributed. Prevention is better than cure, it's better not to root your phone so that u won't end up flashing your phone 1 Like |

VKasparov: Just to explain further... The Infinix Hot 2 X510 is an Android One phone, a project supported by Google as means of putting smartphones in the hands of as many at cheaper rate, hence the partnership between InfinixMobility and Google. Initially, updates were to be pushed by Google directly, but an adjustment was made to the terms, which now means that Google will push updates to Infinix, and in turn Infinix will push it to its Android One phones as at when due. All this will take a period of two years. However, Infinix released another ROM for this phone which is their custom ROM i.e. Infinix ROM 5.1. This particular ROM has no promise of updates and as I speak to you as not been upgraded to Marshmallow as with every other phone Infinix made. In this case, Hot 3 falls into this category and while it running Android Marshmallow out of the box, it will most likely not have Android 7 Nougat except InfinixMobility decide otherwise. An example of this is the Nexus series, made by different manufacturers but owned by Google. However, they are quite different from Android One. In summary, if you are running the Android One ROM on Infinix Hot 2 X510, don't bother rooting your device, as more updates will be pushed to it including Android N. You can root only if you are an advance user and you wish to tinker with your phone and flash different ROMs otherwise if your a layman...stay your hand, sit back and enjoy your phone. I hope this help all who are confused about the whole thing. You can also make your research on Android One and/or Nexus projects. Cheers. |
