Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Borgu yesterday visited Borno state governor in company of the Chief Bisi Akande to condole with the governor on the recent demise of the state deputy governor.

The photos have gone viral challenging Tinubu and Akande accused as two unelected career politicians sitting on seats meant for elected representatives. What the vain critics failed to recognise is the humility of Governor Shettima of Borno who insisted that the two elder-statesmen be honoured as his distinguished guests on condolence visit. He said it was even a demotion to make the two sit on his seats, because they had once upon a time meritoriously and without blemish occupied that same seat, and if anything they are occupying a higher seat in national polity of Nigeria today.

As the Jagaban came out after visiting the government, family and relatives of the deceased Deputy Governor, the Yoruba community in Maiduguri besieged him with encomiums and showering praises…
