Hello, I cant remember all the questions I was asked but these are the ones I can remember
1. How do you network and give us example of how you benefited from your network?
2. What do you understand by leadership and give us example of a situation where you demonstrated leadership and tell us what role you play?
3. How would the UK government benefit by awarding you this scholarship?
4. Why do you want to go to UK for your studies?
5. What other activity/activities apart from your academics would you be doing in the UK during your stay?
6. After your return from your studies, how would you benefit the Nigeria Chevening Alumni?

My questions are similar to above. They wanted specificity from answers. They had my essays infront of them so they were just asking questions from them. Be confident and look in their eyes for leadways and signs from them.

Obobs I did my interview same day in lagos. It was so so tough. At some times I felt I was doing well but at the end, it was intense. I am hoping I did justice to the question about "how will the UK govt benefit from you after the program"

I assume this time around the results will be as per "chevening official timeline" ie early June. Since, no information received yet. Albeit, the wait is worth but yet its really frustrating not to hear any thing.

Yes they do, but that time when I was applying for Chevening my head no correct. I was solely looking at University of Edinburgh.... till they bounced me. lol


I weak for this your post ooo... got my admission for Aberdeen in about 3weeks... Dint even send them references.

Heriot-Watt on the other hand took about 2months coz I applied early for 2017/18 while they were still working on 2016/17. They even sent me mails to apologize for the delay. They later gave me an offer with reference conditions doe.

University of manchester was the slowest or rather I wasn't serious with them. Dint tidy up applications quickly plus dint send them reference and proof of english proficiency for about 3months (Sept. - Nov.). They kept mailing me to know if I was still interested. Sent it in the long run and got an unconditional offer within 48hrs.

And I dint use a consultant.

Anyway different schools require different formats. Edinburgh say them no recognise my university...lol
Since dat time, omo na consultant things o... so far so good.
I applied to to Reading, LSE and Liverpool by myself shaa.

1. How did you go about making an application without reference letter? This has been an issue for me cos it won't be nice asking someone to write like 20 reference letters for schools I'm not sure of yet. Was it that you just applied normally through their website and submitted your application without attaching any reference letter?
2. If i get a conditional admission, will it be upgraded to an unconditional one after I send in the references, with a new letter to that effect?

A 2.2 can apply for this Chevening scholarship, provided you are eligible for admission in UK schools abi...? Please I need answers.. Thanks.

For this, I'm using IELTS. But some schools accept WAEC English - C6 and above

sorry for my late response guys. I took the TOTAL scholarship to study international energy in Paris.
