Nigeria Here I Come by QueenHernandez: 8:24pm On Aug 22, 2015
Hello everyone, its been ages since I have been on this site. The last time didn't go to smoothly, but lets hope everything goes well THIS TIME.
This winter my cousin and I will be going to Nigeria and then take a flight to Ghana. I hope when I get there, I would be insulted as I have seen many insulted on this site. I am not going to cause trouble, I just want to go to the motherland before I die. I am actually looking to move there. Can anyone recommend a hotel, places to go, things to see etc?

Last time I was on this page, some ignorant chick made a comment about how her granddad probably traded us "African Americans" for salt LMAO, that was very ignorant on her part, please do not insult me. I am nice to everyone. If you are nice to me, I'll be nice to to you. Be ignorant with my, I'll be ignorant with you, but you see that's very immature and I'm much older now, I don't have time for it.

LOL you're not the first person to say that to me, but yes I am fine. I am not sure if it will be Nigeria I will move to or not, but I do plan on moving there when all of my children are adults.

LOL no if I wrote that it was a typo, what I meant was I hope that I am NOT insulted. I love my black people, no one should be insulting anyone, but maybe that's just me and how I think.

OP I approve 100%
If your going to move/visit somewhere in Africa it may as well be Nigeria

Very fun country I tell u grin

And the people are very funny. Funniest people on earth. Once you get used to it u will love them. Gurgle come and hype Naija and give her suggestions on where to stay.

Worst things: Heat & Mosquitos
Best things: ummm grin

But seriously Naija is an acquired taste. Once u get it u can never get rid of it

Lol that's how I know youre not even my friend, why are you calling me to disgrace myself. tell her where to stay when ive only been there like 3 times embarassed embarassed

But seriously OP you are very welcome to our country; its an honour to have you. Can I ask, what made you choose Nig over other African countries? Or a historically "American" place like Liberia?

Are you familiar with any of the tribes there or do you know people from there? Where exactly are you looking to move?

I know a lot of Nigerian people here, I love the clothes, the food, the traditions, the movies lol Mama G looks exactly like my late aunt Donna. I only know of Igbo and Yoruba, I cant remember the others sadly. I have been told I look Ibo. Really I want to go because its been my dream to go to Africa since I was a child. I am AFRICAN! Not my fault I was born here, wasn't my fault we were bought and sold, I remain AFRICAN. It is time to go home. I may go to Liberia one day, but my first 2 stops will be Nigeria and Ghana. Where I feel most at home is where I will move. I have been offered land in other countries, but we will see.

Interesting how you say that Mama G looks like your late aunt.. Most SE Nigerians look very similar to African-Americans, so you have a point.

Yeah but you wouldn't know prices and culture. You would be getting scammed left and right, also Job security

Thank you for your concern but no one can scam me out of my money, I don't have to work I have plenty of money. One of my friends said that there are lots of white people over there, that's the only thing I wouldn't like, but if other races can go and live there, I know I can.

How much is it to have a house built there?

@QueenHernandez,

Go to Enugu. It's a beautiful and serene city. Check tripadvisor for hotels

There aren't even up to 200,000 whites. Your friend is wrong.......very very wrong.

Hmm plenty of money......can I get some grin

Am not really sure, different states different prices. But a nice 5 bedroom detached duplex without Basements, a garage should be like 55mil in Lagos. Roughly 300 grands shocked
