You no serious.

Anyway, the government has no choice. The government is weakened with no majority in parliament and the wicked use of cheap banned cladding with the needless human cost tied the government's hand. If not trust the nasty Tories, survivors would have been posted hundreds of kilometres away from thier family/friends support network. The Tory party is indeed nasty.

They have opened a criminal investigation/inquiry headed by Judges.

They are trying.

I guess that was our Katrina.

Lol, @ bolded . A more appropriate term would be "Dubious Importers" smiley

I'm an "Ibo guy" too. But it goes without saying, the standard of merchandise we put out.

80% of other key distributors for local brands are also Ibo by the way.

People just need to source wisely and ascertain the genuity of their source. Not everybody with a shop full of cables is an "Appointed Distributor" .
Buying from an "appointed" distributor might also not give you 100% immunity, but it is your surest bet in an open market.

Oh, then I understood you out of context Sir. I made a blanket statement to infer that integrity issue can come up, which was why my response was general.

Speaking of guarantees, I prefer to let my reputation speak. no seller would admit to selling you fakes in the first place. It's not difficult to come out and shout integrity integrity

But since you insist on a direct answer, let me be VERY categorical smiley

"ALL" our Cables are supplied by the Factory, So they are 100% guaranteed to be authentic.
We do not directly or indirectly sell or encourage the sale of adulterated cables (which infact greatly affect our business)
If our pricing does not work, it's goodbye and thanks for considering us.

Due to repeated cases of unsatisfactory customer service and aftersales support, I stopped every NL biz transaction.

But for AllCopacetic I made an exception because he has, till date, been the only NL contact that follows through with his WARRANTY, going as far as to replace defective items as well as goods missing in transit.

@AllCopacetic please bear with me. The Tyranny of time affects even my most notable intentions.

Was I treated fairly by my POP guy or was my head shaved with a dull razor? I wasn't aware of thickness when I did it.

A few months ago a place was recommended to me for plumbing supplies in Iwo Road, Ibadan.

I actually went there. Pretty big place two stories but I forgot the name and phone number. I think I posted all that too and will keep searching.

It's where I found the kitchen sink and I need to purchase. So I'm looking for the name and phone number of the place.

Thanks.

PS: Coming from gate, on Iwo road, it's on the left side of the street. Of course, they are my brothers from the east grin

PPS: Or maybe another source?

Anyways, if anyone is in Ibadan and environs I can reasonable recommend the seller and installer of the fence wire, though I always ask folks to do their own due diligence.

Any cost analysis?

Looking at that thickness in the photo.. I will say the gauge is good enough.

The strongest bracket (allegedly galvanized but might rust in the future but will take years) N195 X 100, galvanized barbed wire N11,700 X 10 (this did 440 feet), labor N10,000 (bricklayer N10,000 including other work).

That's the door place in Oke Bola, another fantastic find.

I found this picture of the front of the shop but I'm only able to make out a phone number with no answer. I think I'll just send one of my Micras there tomorrow but they'll make it feel as if I'm sending them to Ile Ife or Oyo angry

I'm going to finish it off with a run of horizontal wire for additional strength later when I'm on the ground.

That your POP guy is an honest guy and pretty fair. I cant measure it, but it looks above 10mm thickness to me. Whereas, Mine was 16mm thickness.

Good to know.

Maybe we need to add this to Spyder880s "How you can get ripped off in construction" thread.

Chai!!

Reminds me how driving through the high brow areas in Johanessburg some 20 years ago, I could only laugh at how the 'noveau rich' black folks had exchanged the chains of apartheid for individual prisons - wall to wall high fences, barbed wires and security guards - ugh, I even shiver at the image today.

Maybe if you painted those walls a funky mauve color, it might lessen the effect.

I'm going to try my best to hide the fences and the chain link shebang with a network of growing vines. I need to keep my Mai Guard occupied with planting stuff, I think he's bored out of his wits and dude doesn't understand the concept of time zones cheesy

The only solace I find in the whole clusterfuck is that it will be easy to demonstrate clear intent of a trespasser to a judge and why lethal weapon was used. I mean who else is going to breach a ~10 feet wall that is topped with razor wires except nefarious characters?

Great minds think alike Sir.

You lead and we follow Baba.

Where's Madam GabbyTabby, she's been quiet lately.

PS: This is an example of the horizontal wire bracing that we're talking about. It makes it harder to simply smash the wires. Remember you can only deter the casual opportunistic robbers by frustrating them to go to an easier score.

In Nigeria, you just pack into the new house as soon as you like, completed or not. The only people who come to inspect are the religious groups, family and friends during house warming parties. No form of government inspection after construction.

Town planning Authority is supposed to inspect and certify a building fit before occupancy.
Infact after building plan approval, we are supposed to serve them with notice of commencement and of completion for them to dispatch their inspectors for site visit
