Standing at the shore of Casablanca,
I see across the sea a land I so desire.
Will she open her door to me,
A stranger that she has never met?

Like a country, she closes her border,
And keeps surveillance day and night.
She denies me entrance without knowing my intention,
But I mean no harm, for just a place of fulfillment.

She says I am no citizen, nor a gentleman,
And cannot test the liberty of life on her country.
Then I ask, does a country belong more to one than the other?
My suffering continues, as I remain waiting.

Who will come rescue me,
And take me across the big water.
Then I could see myself flying without wings,
And see from the other side how beautiful you are Casablanca.
