He denied disobeying traffic light as he alleged they were not working. He however stated that he was on his way to London to see a sick family member. He also talked about the ultra modern hospital he commissioned as not fully functional. We don't necessarily need a traffic light at a busy junction but common sense driving will indicate to every driver at that point to use their anticipation as there are other road users. Driving is a simple matter as everyone is expected to kill their speed when they approach a junction and make sure the road is clear of any oncoming vehicle before proceeding. What I can deduce from his statement is that without the traffic lights functioning his driver drove recklessly apparently due to their haste to get to the airport on time. |
