Yessir, I agree with you that it doesn't change anything.. . I think though that there should be no need to prove anything. Maturity doesn't need anyone's approval, much less a woman's. That's what gives women unnecessary power. He has to have a relationship with his mum, but being being unnaturally dependent on her at a mature age of late twenty-thirty something is a no-no.

Men should be men, regardless of whether a woman approves or not.
