Former governor of Bayelsa
State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, has
said that the All Progressives Party, APC
and the All Progressives Grand Alliance,
APGA, were strange parties to the Ijaw
people, noting that the “APC has no
agenda for the Ijaw people.”
Alamieyeseigha, during the formal
inauguration of the Governor Dickson
Campaign secretariat and campaign team,
described the Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, as the only party that has identified
with the dreams and aspirations of
Bayelsans and the Ijaw people.
The former governor, who noted that the
PDP has always identified with the
aspirations of the Ijaw people as
manifested with the emergence of Dr.
Goodluck Jonathan as the president of the
country, charged the campaign team to
unite and be courageous to succeed in
the task ahead.
Charging the campaign organisation
headed by a member of the House of
Representatives, representing Sagbama/
Ekeremor federal constituency, Chief Fred
Agbedi, Governor Seriake Dickson
described the campaign team as political
juggernauts and tacticians, who were
carefully selected, and urged them not to
leave any stone unturned in ensuring that
the PDP comes out victorious at the
December 5, governorship election.
“If you fail, then we have all failed. This
election is not about me as a person, but
about the future of our state, therefore,
we must work hard and ensure that the
PDP wins. This election is a must win for
the PDP,” Dickson said.

Bayelsa will be the last state APC would win! Even if Buhari is the INEC chairman, APC can not win

And what did Gej, the result of an Ijaw-friendly party PDP do for them?

The moment Nigerians learn to vote political candidates and not political parties, the country will experience the real change, not Tinubu kind of change. undecided

Jonathan and PDP that can't even provide common clean water for his community grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

If Kaduna Refinery can have Crude from South directly, why can't PDP for 16 yrs get Bayelsa a delivery of clean Water pipeline too?

Even if APC or APGA did not win, it will not erase the fact that PDP failed the people of Bayelsa.

And the people will still gullibly vote the PDP that has done nothing save impoverish the people of Bayelsa the more. The irony of life.

Imagine this thieving Alamesiegha trying to use tribal sentiments to campaign.

This is the hallmark of the PDP. When they have nothing to show, when they have no projects to use as evidence that they performed, that is when they will start appealing to tribal sentiments.

Now, this thieving Alamesiegha has declared that the PDP is the Ijaw party, and he tried to justify himself that it is so because Jonathan emerged as president.

Why can't he brandish all the achievements of the PDP to the Ijaw people instead of the self achievement and enrichment of the Jonathans and their cronnies.

How has Jonathan as president affected the general ijaw people save some specific individuals?

How has the presidency of Jonathan significantly reduced the environmental pollution of Bayelsa state and indeed the Niger Delta.

How has the presidency of Jonathan brought more developmental projects to the Bayelsans?

How has the presidency of Jonathan improved the social-economics of Bayelsa state.

How has the presidency of Jonathan ensured that the 'settlement' released by oil companies is used to build projects where everyone will benefit from and not just for the community leaders to pocket?

How has the presidency of Jonathan blocked all the loopholes where the public funds of the Bayelsans are been diverted to personal pockets as was the case during the administration of Alamesiegha?

Alamesiegha that is supposed to be stoned by the people for stealing their commonwealth and disgracing them in his attempt to evade the law is coming out to campaign for somebody. Chai, Nigerians don suffer. If it was in a more civilised society, that candidate would have automatically lost the election.

But this is Nigeria, where tribal sentiments is more powerful than critical reasoning.

I wish them well.
