The problem with Super Eagles is ''Team Blending'' before a crucial qualifier. We always struggle to qualify. The teams we play against field majorly home based players, yet we find it difficult to beat them.Even when Siasia was the coach, the same problem manifested. So replacing Oliseh with Siasia would not solve the problem.''same of the same''

Football is a team game!No matter how excellent foreign based pros are, they cannot be effective after a mere 3 day preparation for a major qualifier.Yet we keep on wasting resources and hard earned foreign currency on inefficiency and ineffectiveness,by inviting loads of foreign based pros.

Suggested Solution:

Siasia U23 team are majorly well blended home based pros.

Super Eagles should adopt same principle. Why gather home based pros for 30 days, only to discard them for strange bird fellows, all in the name of foreign based?

Going forward, qualifiers should be executed with majorly outstanding home based pros(who must have been well blended for about 30 days!)with few outstanding foreign based,to fill certain perceived loopholes or positions such as goal keeping and attack.

For the actual tournaments, the camp can then be thrown open ,since there is usually more time to blend, whether foreign or home based.

This is my recipe for a greater Super Eagles!

I pray we shall not continue to do the same thing ,same way and expect different result. We should stop wasting money on an ineffective camping system for qualifiers.Enough is Enough!

u17: Nigeria is the defending champion
u20: We are the Africa Champion
U23: Will be in Olympic next year

Confirmed! we ve beaten Ghana at all level in the last twelve months except their Senior national team.

I can't wait for this generation to take over the National team
Same will still happen. Super-eagles will always fumble no matter the set.

I don't expect Ghana to qualify either, they got lucky with Senegal. This is honestly, the weakest, most unco-ordinated Ghanaiain team I've seen in a while.

Siasia should stick with age grade football. He has tried and failed with Clubs and the Senior team. Dunno why Nigerians have short term memory with these things. We've trashed it out various times, leave him with the age grade and stop advocating for any other positions

Yeah.... Thanks Sir. But why is winning bonuses an issue these days in Ghanaian soccer? I do recall the drama that played out at the last world cup with Ghana and match bonuses.... Not good at all.

Well, good to know u're good. I hope ur f.a.(GFA) do the right thing and bury these petty issues once and for all.

achimotan:

Yes oo we meet again.Over here some people are boiling with rage when it emerged this morning that the Black Stars players were paid a winning bonus of $10,000 for their win against Mauritius in June in the AFCON qualifier . Before that game we were told the winning bonus had been slashed to $5,000 and people welcomed the idea. The winning bonus disparity among the national teams is so wide. I bet if we had even beaten you,the winning bonus for these guys would not be more than $2,000.
This loss would would reinforce the argument in favor of slashing the winning bonus of the over pampered black stars and use the remaining to cater for the junior national teams.

congrats by the way

Ok Miss.... Meanwhile, we currently have an interim coach in Christopher Danjuma.

Reports I read online says the Nff will name a substantive coach this month. Let's wait and see.....

Oparanozie could wrap up the golden boot by the end of the group stage.

Esther Sunday got the third goal.

And yeah, Oparanozie is the runaway top scorer. No one will catch up to even half of her goals in this AAG Women soccer event.

Don't you know its an opportunity for those bench warmers to show case what they have in store and even bench those who prior to this time, where seen as regulars?
If Isaac Success did not get injured early enough during the U17 2013 FIFA World Cup, Iheanacho and perhaps my super Taiwo Awoniyi would not have come to limelight so early.
*Drops pen, folds arms, just watching*
Those guys arent bench warmers they are first team Nigerian based professionals show some respect.
The fact that some 18 year olds now play on the bench in Europe do esnt make them better than our home based pros.
Go out and watch Enyimba s Ezekiel Bassey and you ll know that we have our own version of hazard. He beats three defenders at a go and does it consistently.
Thank God he made Oliseh's CHAN.EAGLES tesm so expect to see him sonner or later .
By the way Daniel Etor who made the first assist and kingsley Sokari are both enyimba players .
