The Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC), Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu has disagreed with critics of the corporation who are calling for its outright scraping. Apparently reacting to a paper presentation made by the Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai in Abuja where the latter advocated the killing of the NNPC as a result of perceived corruption rocking the nation’s oil revenue generation base, the GMD said it was unwise to kill the petroleum industry as recently suggested.
