National youth service corps (NYSC)needs urgent eradication. The beauty of the concept diminished a lond time ago.The idea of posting graduates to the remote areas for a year to develop a place is quite unrealistic. Most graduates these days do not appreciate nysc anymore due the fact that they tend to suffer in the remote areas were they are been posted to impact knowledge. The one year service to the nation is regarded as a wasted year imposed by the goverment to prolong national youth suffering.Desperate measures needs to be incurred by the government in terms of nysc.It is either ,Nysc is scraped or reformed to suit the needs of todays youth.Instead of a one year service ,I would suggest the three week orientation should be well utilized to integrate the various diverse ethnic groups and to serve the nation. The federal goverment can therefore ,allocate the amount of money paid to all youth corpers at the end of the month should be added together for the one year service to be paid to all corpers for any business idea of their choice.
